Rafi Lehmann

Rafi Lehmann is a teacher, writer, and designer based in Philadelphia, PA. Rafi is a dynamic and compassionate educator with years of teaching experience. In 2015-2016, he taught full-time at a private secondary school in Varanasi, India, preparing dozens of students for national exams in Math, Science, Social Studies, and English. The following year, he volunteered at a New Jersey prison each week, tutoring GED students through the national Petey Greene Program. As a recent student himself, Rafi understands the value of a customized education strategy and enjoys helping students meet (and exceed) their personal goals.

In the spring of 2020, Rafi graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University’s Department of History, with minors in Urban Studies and Environmental Studies. He is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and has received numerous awards and fellowships for his writing and service work. His research and teaching have focused on critical geographies of Indigenous North America, Jewish Eastern Europe, and the AIDS epidemic of the 1980s and ‘90s. 

Rafi is a master of standardized tests and is eager to support and challenge his students at every stage of their test preparation. In high school, he took dozens of standardized tests and was recognized as both a National Merit Scholar Finalist and an AP Scholar with Distinction, scoring perfect 5’s on five AP exams.

Rafi is available to coach for Arithmetic, Geometry, Algebra I, Algebra II, Pre-calculus, Trigonometry, Calculus (including AP), Physics (including AP), PSAT, SAT, SAT Subject Tests, as well as Writing, Literature and Language Arts (including AP), History and Social Studies (including AP).
